Synapse Medical has entered into an agreement to distribute BSD Medical's MicroThermX Microwave Ablation line of products in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The mobile MicroThermX includes a microwave generator, single-patient-use disposable antennas, and a thermistor-based temperature monitoring system.
MicroThermX, using advanced synchronous phased array technology, provides larger and more uniform zones of ablation during a single procedure.
MicroThermX has also received the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval 510(k) clearance to perform ablation for soft tissue.
