SurgiCount Medical, a subsidary of Patient Safety Technologies, has entered into a collaboration agreement with the Premier healthcare alliance.
As per the collaboration agreement, Premier healthcare alliance members have gained rights to access the SurgiCount’s Safety-Sponge system.
The Safety-Sponge System is designed to improve patient safety and reduce healthcare costs by preventing retainment of foreign objects during surgeries.
Patient Safety Technologies president and CEO Brian Stewart said they look forward to the partnership and to help Premier members achieve their quality and cost objectives.
