SunTech Medical, a Halma company, has obtained medical device license from Health Canada for its Tango M2 non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) monitor.

The medical device license allows cardiac stress testing labs in Canada to purchase the Tango M2 NIBP monitor, which builds on the success of the SunTech Medical’s Tango+ monitor.

SunTech Medical has specifically designed Tango M2 to overcome noise, motion, and physical difficulties associated with cardiac stress and exercise testing. The NIBP monitor reliably monitors the patient’s blood pressure allowing the clinician to focus on the patient.

The Tango M2 monitor incorporates dual blood pressure measurement modes to allow measurements with or without an ECG signal for pre-test and recovery.

It has improved usability with expanded BP measurement history table, a USB port for data retrieval and field upgrades as well as a seven-inch color LCD display.

Tango M2 features SunTech Medical’s patented Orbit-K cuff, which helps maintain proper cuff placement during patient movement in cardiac stress testing.

Tango M2 is distributed exclusively by McArthur Medical Sales and is already being used in cardiac stress labs at Vancouver Island Health Authority in Victoria, BC and the University of Toronto in Ontario.
