Subtle Medical and Siemens Healthineers have jointly announced the integration of Subtle Medical’s SubtleMR software into Siemens Healthineers’ Open Recon interface.

SubtleMR offers DL (deep learning) post-processing for denoising and increased sharpness on faster MRI sequences, enabling improved picture quality, streamlined workflow, and a better patient experience.

SubtleMR, an image enhancement software, will be available on Siemens MAGNETOM Sola, Solafit, and Altea scanners with NX VA51.

The programme is compatible with most MRI techniques and works with key contrasts, including T1, T2, T2 FLAIR, and T2 (2D, 3D). All downstream quantitative and diagnostic applications are compatible with it.

Siemens Healthineers‘ Open Recon interface enables third-party image reconstruction and post-processing solutions to be directly added to the reconstruction pipeline.

In this way, the findings are immediately accessible on the scanner interface and no extra picture export step is required.

In the user interface, it is now possible to choose the reconstruction that includes SubtleMR post-processing.

Subtle Medical chief product officer Dr Ajit Shankaranarayanan said: “We are proud to become the first AI technology company Siemens Healthineers has entrusted for their innovative new Open Recon interface.

“This milestone marks how powerful collaborations are between AI innovators and scanner manufacturers in order to provide the most robust imaging solutions to providers and the best care possible to patients worldwide.”

Subtle Medical said that its portfolio of clinically certified AI-powered software products, SubtleMR and SubtlePET, enhance the efficiency of picture collection by improving the quality of both fast and low dosage imaging.

All scanner types and field strengths are compatible with Subtle’s solutions, enabling institutions to reap the benefits across their entire scanner fleet.
