Twobiens has entered into $5m original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Spring Health Solutions and Spring Set Health Solutions, subsidiaries of D Medical Industries.
Under the three year agreement, Twobiens will distribute Spring Universal Detach Detect Infusion Sets under its private label.
Twobiens shall be responsible for all costs and expenses incurred by it in the performance of its duties and responsibilities, as per the agreement.
D Medical chief executive officer Efri Argaman said the partnership is expected to increase the pace of bringing the company’s technology to more people with diabetes.
"At the same time, we continue to explore various licensing and other opportunities designed to maximize shareholder value," Argaman added.
The Universal Infusion Sets feature hidden, auto-retractable needle, 360 degree connector, and smallest one-click, all-in-one inserter.
In the case the base of the infusion set detaches from the user’s body, by utilizing the Detach-Detect mechanism, it creates an occlusion alarm in an insulin pump which enables for continuously controlled and monitored insulin delivery, thus providing additional safety.
