Medical device company Spine Wave has announced the full commercial launch of its Lateral Access Product Portfolio.
The Lateral Access Product Portfolio includes StaXx XDL Expandable Device, StaXx IBL Expandable Interbody Device and Abacus Lateral Spacer System, as well as a full complement of disposable accessories.
The StaXx XDL and IBL Expandable Devices features stackable technology, while XLR Lateral Access Retractor allows intra-operative flexibility, customizable exposure and better stability.
Spine Wave CEO Mark LoGuidice said: "We are very excited by our entrance into this market segment.
"In time we expect the current and future StaXx Expandable Devices to advance the lateral surgical approach, much like our flagship StaXx XD Expandable Device has advanced the posterior surgical approach."
Spine Wave noted that the company is now able to provide spine surgeons multiple expandable implant options with this suite of products.
The company will showcase the Lateral Access Product Portfolio, along with the recently introduced Annex Adjacent Level System at the upcoming Congress of Neurological Surgeons meeting in Boston.
