Specialty Silicone Fabricators, Inc. (Specialty Silicone Fabricators), which makes silicone components for medical devices, will build a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing and office building near the Paso Robles Airport, sanluisobispo.com reported. Construction of the new facility is set to begin in October 2009, with completion scheduled for September 2010.

Kevin Meyer, president of the company said: The new facility will meet the demands of the future. The company already has three buildings on its campus, and those buildings will still be used, he said.

While the company is expanding its facilities, it has no plans to create jobs, Meyer said.

Meyer added, however, that “expanding and adding new technologies could presumably create new jobs.”
