SonoScape Medical has introduced a new software upgrade of its ultrasound product offering, S-Fetus 4.0 to facilitate the accurate measurement of fetal biometry.

S-Fetus 4.0 is a smart obstetric screening technology based on deep learning to simplify the sonography process. It is powered by Intel oneAPI Toolkits.

Leverages deep learning techniques, the S-Fetus 4.0 Obstetric Screening Assistant is said to power a smart scenario-based work model.

The system enables doctors to perform sonography without manually controlling equipment. It allows them automatically acquire standard planes in real time and measure fetal biometry and growth index.

With one-click simple touch, the S-Fetus 4.0 Obstetric Screening Assistant eliminates the manually repetitive operation of the device, thereby streamlining the sonogram process and enhances scanning efficiency.

SonoScape Medical Innovation Research Center head Zhou Guoyi said: “Our obstetric screening assistant has achieved breakthroughs in terms of performance and scalability and now it can offer more efficient means of smart obstetric diagnosis that assist doctors in precise work to ensure better patient outcomes.”

The company has applied the new software upgrade to various high-end ultrasound equipments to enhance service capability.

The S-Fetus 4.0 is designed to run on SonoScape S60, P60, P60 Exp, S50 Elite, P50 Elite and P40 Elite in the North America as well as rest of the world.

SonoScape Ultrasound Division vice-president Naizhang Feng said: “With our commitment to the independent R&D and innovation of medical equipment, our cutting edge technology has been able to realise its potential to serve medical institutions around the world.”

Recently, SonoScape secured the 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its HD-550 Endoscopy system.
