Sonoma Orthopedic Products has entered into a licensing and distribution agreement with Ai-Medic, a subsidiary of Olympus Business Creation Corporation, to expand OUS presence.

The distribution agreement includes license fee and revenue commitments.

Ai-Medic is a supplier of orthopedic products in the Japanese market, especially in the area of clavicle fracture fixation.

Marketing and Business Development senior VP Guy Williamson said the Japanese market is a key market for all orthopedic companies, and are pleased to be associated with Ai-Medic.

"We believe WaviBody Technology will be well accepted by Japanese surgeons, who tend to be forward thinking. This event could very well lead to additional distribution opportunities with Ai-Medic and we look forward to working with them to build the Sonoma brand in Japan," Williamson said.
