Somanetics Corporation (Somanetics) has extended three-year agreement with Covidien Ltd. (Covidien). Covidien will continue to distribute Somanetics' INVOS Cerebral/Somatic Oximeter products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The extension would come into effect on February 16, 2010, on the expiry of the present agreement.

Somanetics develops, manufactures and markets the In Vivo Optical Spectroscopy (INVOS) System.
