Siemens Healthcare has exhibited its new product offerings from its entire imaging and therapy portfolio at the 100th conference of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, US.

The company has showcased its new Magnetom Amira 1.5-tesla system that features Eco-Power technology and uses DotGO software to simplify protocol management, offering the right operating sequence for each procedure to suit requirements.

Siemens has also exhibited a range of X-ray systems utilising the new MAX technology at the event. The Max technology integrates two new detectors, the Max wi-D and Max Mini, which can be shared between all Max systems.

According to Siemens, the new MAX functions are currently available on the systems Ysio Max, Mobilett Mira Max, Luminos dRF Max and Luminos Agile Max.

The new version of the Somatom Definition Edge has also been showcased at the event. It utilises TwinBeam technology to open up the dual energy mode for routine clinical use.

In addition, two new clinical applications for angiography were showcased, which include syngo Dyna4D and syngo DynaCT Smart.

The syngo Dyna4D enables time-resolved 3D imaging in angiography that allows in the visualization of three-dimensional volume of the vessels and the flow behaviour of blood.

The syngo DynaCT Smart removes metal artifacts, allowing the physician to detect bleedings close to metallic objects.
