Daxor, a manufacturer of diagnostic reagents, has signed a trial agreement with Shertech Pharmacy.

Under the agreement, Shertech has purchased Daxor’s BVA-100 blood volume analyzer which enables semi-automated measurement of patient’s total blood volume, red blood cell volume and plasma volume.

Daxor said published studies of BVA-100 have shown that blood volume measurement is important in treating heart failure, critical care patients in intensive care units and in diagnosing the true status of complex anemias and syncope (fainting).

Shertech Pharmacy is a specialty radiopharmacy which provides radio nuclear medical services to over 60 hospitals in the North and South Carolina areas.
