Shannon installs TAMS vascular X-ray system

Shannon Medical Center has installed Toshiba America Medical Systems' (TAMS) Infinix CF-i single plane vascular X-ray system.

The installation aids Shannon to conduct radial interventions more easily and improve patient safety and outcomes while reducing costs.

Infinix CF-i single plane is a cardiac cath lab featuring a floor-mounted five-axis positioner to obtain images without repositioning patients.

The system also aids clinicians to have patient access and a setup for both right- and left-side approaches.

The Infinix-i monitors float freely around the system and can be positioned for easy viewing regardless of procedure type.

Shannon Medical Center interventional cardiologist Chris McClish said the system’s lateral movement and fingertip-to-fingertip coverage enable catheter exchanges during procedures without adjusting the table and changing alignment.
