Sectra has entered into an agreement to distribute PenRad's mammography information system (MIS) which is fully integrated with its breast Imaging picture archiving and communication system (PACS).

Sectra’s breast Imaging PACS is a web-based, multi-modality workstation which provides a reading environment for high volume women’s imaging centers and for those wanting to increase tele-mammography services.

Sectra said all digital breast images, even breast tomosynthesis are automatically displayed in the same size with correct orientation and alignment, facilitating comparison of current and prior images.

Sectra women’s healthcare director Jeff Desiderio said the company has developed a strategic distribution agreement and bi-directional integration with PenRad to offer its customers convenient, one-stop-shopping and improved integration and workflow efficiency.

Sectra develops IT systems and services for radiology, women’s health, orthopedics and rheumatology.
