RTI Surgical has commercially introduced Streamline TL spinal fixation system, which can be used in the treatment of complex adult deformities or curvatures.

The Streamline TL deformity instruments helps in creating a rigid construct in the thoracolumbar spine using pedicle screws, set screws, rods and crosslinks.

Since the initial launch of the system in 2011, the company has been adding advanced solutions to address various patient pathologies.

RTI said the new deformity instrumentation provides surgeons with the resources necessary to perform challenging adult deformity cases.

RTI Surgical president and CEO Brian Hutchison said: "Expanding our Streamline TL Spinal Fixation System with these innovative and versatile deformity instruments enhances our ability to compete in the complex deformity market.

"With this addition to our spine portfolio we are very excited to be able to cover an even broader range of surgeon and patient needs."

RTI Surgical produces biologic, metal and synthetic implants that can be used in sports medicine, general surgery, spine, orthopedic, trauma and cardiothoracic procedures.

With four manufacturing facilities in the US and Europe, the company markets its products in around 50 countries.
