IDS announced that Rocky Mountain Radiologists has selected IDS for its speech recognition and reporting application, Voice2Dox.

Rocky Mountain Radiologists is one the largest privately owned radiology practices in Colorado. The practice opened nearly 5 decades ago as a West Denver community-based facility at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Today, their 28 radiologists interpret studies for more than 70 locations throughout Colorado, including the Denver metro area, Steamboat Springs and the Yampa Valley, as well as sites in Nebraska.

Rocky Mountain Radiologists is looking to adopt the new technology platform to improve their diagnostic reporting processes, unify their template and routine management and increase the use of intelligent speech recognition. Voice2Dox allows the radiologists to utilize one system in both hospital and clinic settings.

"We liked the flexibility of choice IDS offers on a single, centralized platform that integrates with our existing IT systems," said Earl Schott, III, M.D., President of Rocky Mountain Radiologists. "Our radiologists can decide whether to use the familiar, dictation-transcription method, or adopt voice-enabled technologies to report their findings. The goal is to move all of our facilities to a more modern and efficient operational model."

By implementing voice recognition, they can reduce the amount of time required to deliver a final report and reduce the cost of both creating and delivering the report. Voice2Dox will launch directly from their PACS and will auto-populate patient demographics, making for a clean and efficient path for report creation, sign-off and distribution.

"Radiologists are looking for every possible way to increase their productivity without jeopardizing or compromising the quality of their reads. We place a premium on designing intuitive tools, including voice-activated commands and routine management tools, such as best match, that improve the speed and accuracy of diagnostic reporting," said IDS CEO Yaniv Dagan. "We look forward to providing the best technology to help Rocky Mountain Radiologists continue their expansion and remarkable success."
