HealthTrust Purchasing Group has awarded a contract to RF Surgical Systems to provide its RF Assure Detection system to its member facilities.
Under the agreement, HealthTrust’s member facilities including1,400 not-for-profit and for-profit acute care facilities, 10,600 ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, and alternate care sites will have access to purchase the RF Detection system to detect and prevent retained surgical items from occurring in the operating room and other surgical suites.
The RF Assure Detection system is a radio-frequency in-vivo detection solution that provides automatic RSI detection technology and pressure reducing features for patient comfort with the use of the RF Assure Mat series.
RF Surgical co-founder and chairman Jeffrey Port said more and more healthcare providers will have access to the RF Assure Detection technology to improve patient safety.
