Revolutions Medical has advanced improvements in automatic retractable prefilled safety syringe technology, based on proprietary vacuum based technology.
The enhanced technology will provide a level of passive protection from needle stick injury and will be available with less price point because of the small number of parts, longer shelf life, and elegance of the vacuum design.
Revolutions Medical CEO Ron Wheet said their new prefilled auto retractable vacuum safety syringe designs will allow to compete in another part of the market that has growth and they will be filing additional patents shortly to protect and expand their new prefilled syringe technologies.
"There is potential to form strategic partnerships with one or more pharmaceutical companies to provide a better prefilled syringe to deliver their products than currently exists," Wheet said.
The company is still on schedule to ship its first 3ml RevVac fixed needle safety syringes in April and its first 1ml RevVac fixed needle safety syringes in July 2011 from its manufacturer in China.
