Ingpuls Medical will focus on the development and manufacturing of nitinol tubing, wire, sheet, and powder for the medical device industry

Resonetics has collaborated with Ingpuls to create a new joint venture (JV) company called Ingpuls Medical to serve the medical device industry.
Ingpuls is a manufacturer of low inclusion shape memory alloys, while Resonetics is a provider of engineering and manufacturing solutions for the medical device industry.
Based in Bochum, Germany, Ingpuls Medical will focus on the development and manufacturing of nitinol tubing, wire, sheet, and powder for the medical device industry.
The new company will leverage Ingpuls’ innovations in shape memory alloy materials, as well as use Resonetics’ expertise in tubing fabrication and nitinol processing to develop new solutions.
Resonetics president and CEO Tom Burns said: “We have been impressed by the advancements Ingpuls has made in the purity of their nitinol material and the potential it offers to enhance the performance and life of critical medical device implants and components.

Ingpuls Medical will carry out operations from a new building located adjacent to Ingpuls’ current headquarters and production facility.
The location is expected to allow the company to capitalise on synergies with Ingpuls and Resonetics’ tubing fabrication facility in Puidoux of Switzerland.
Resonetics, which will serve as an exclusive distributor for Ingpuls Medical materials, will work with all levels of the medical device supply chain.

Resonetics will work with Ingpuls to advance nitinol material used in implants and instruments for medical device customers.
In November last year, Resonetics acquired US-based Hudson Medical Innovations from Preco for an undisclosed sum.
