Medical equipment manufacturer ResMed has introduced a new connected care solution for treating sleep-disordered breathing (SDB), called Air Solutions.

The ResMed Air Solutions platform includes data-driven components, which spreads from diagnosis to treatment, compliance management and patient engagement.

ResMed sleep-disordered breathing business unit president Don Darkin said the firm is creating a new beginning in patient care with Air Solutions.

"As we unveil each Air Solutions component, our signature differentiation of superior performance and comfort will be underscored, made even stronger with groundbreaking technology that helps providers become more connected with their patients," added Darkin.

The new device platform includes ApneaLink Air, which is a compact and lightweight home sleep testing device and AirSense 10 Series, a new series of continuous and automatic positive airway pressure devices (CPAP and APAP).

It also includes AirCurve 10 series, which is a range of bi-level devices and AirFit Masks that comprise AirFit P10 nasal pillows system AirFit F10 full-face mask and the AirFit N10 nasal mask.

In addition, the platform comprises AirView Monitoring and Compliance Management System and myAir Patient Engagement Application and Software.

The ApneaLink Air and AirFit masks are currently available in the US and other select markets, while AirSense 10 and AirView will be available in the US and Australia from 18 August and other markets later this calendar year.
