The European Union (EU) has granted a CE mark to Quidel's Sofia Strep A Fluorescent Immunoassay (FIA) test for use with its Sofia Analyzer.
The Sofia Analyzer and Sofia Strep A FIA unites advanced lateral flow technology, fluorescent chemistry, failure alert and fail-safe systems to provide accurate diagnostic result.
Quidel president and CEO Douglas Bryant said in combination with their Sofia Influenza A+B FIA, Sofia Strep A FIA will provide healthcare workers with added testing versatility during this respiratory disease season.
