Quest Diagnostics, a developer of new diagnostic tests, has acquired the assets of SED Medical Laboratories.
SED Medical Laboratories is a full-service medical and federally certified drugs-of-abuse testing laboratory which operates a modern 50,000 ft² facility with equipment and technology.
As per the previously announced agreement to acquire SED with Lovelace Health System, Quest will manage in-patient labs for the four Lovelace hospitals, as well as serve Lovelace Health Plan members.
The acquisition incorporates the transfer of main offices and lab on Office Boulevard near I-25 and Jefferson, nine Patient Service Centers in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho and six additional locations across New Mexico.
