Quality Systems purchases CQI Solutions

Quality Systems, a provider of computer-based practice management and EHR, has acquired all the assests of CQI Solutions to expand health IT solutions for hospitals.

The acquisition allows CQI to become a part of QSI’s subsidary NextGen Healthcare Information Systems.

CQI provides patient scheduling, patient tracking boards, clinical department procedural costing and charge capture, complete surgical services management and electronic charting.

CQI software provides patient throughput, resource allocation, clinical documentation, materials management, charge capture, reimbursement and management reporting.

The company’s patient scheduling and surgical information systems will be sold in NextGen Inpatient Solutions portfolio, which includes NextGen Inpatient Clinicals and NextGen Inpatient Financials.

Quality Systems inpatient solutions executive vice president Steve Puckett said the acquisition of CQI complements the NextGen Inpatient Solutions portfolio, enabling them to expand surgery facilities and to meet a needs in the hospital sector for an integrated offering.
