QRS Diagnostic, a provider of design and development of PC-based medical devices, has launched its latest version of Office Medic (version 5.3), which is compatible with Windows 7 (64-bit) and Vista (64-bit) operating systems.

QRS said that the Office Medic is in use by over 10,000 customers worldwide and has become a popular link between providers’ diagnostic test data and electronic medical records (EMRs). Adding 64-bit and Windows 7 compatibility further enhances the Office Medic suite (EKG, Spirometry and Vitals) making it compatible with the latest Windows operating systems and PC architecture.

QRS Diagnostic’s PC Card and USB technology platform turns handheld PDAs, laptops or desktop PCs into modular and upgradeable medical devices, including electrocardiographs, spirometers, pulse oximeters and vital signs devices.

Jamaica Thatcher, marketing manager of QRS, said: “As the industry leader in portable and robust PC-based medical devices, we are excited to offer Windows 7 [32 and 64-bit] compatibility to our customers. Our commitment is to the continuous improvement of our products and to make certain they remain compatible with current operating environments.”
