Premier Purchasing Partners, the group purchasing unit of the Premier healthcare alliance, has selected SRI/Surgical Express (SRI) for the supply of reusable surgical linens and linen.
SRI provides central processing and supply chain management services to hospitals and surgery centers across the US.
This is the second consecutive contract in this product category between SRI and Premier. The three-year agreement begins January 1, 2011.
SRI CEO Gerald Woodard said that as a supplier and reprocessor of reusable surgical products, they are pleased to have the opportunity to continue to work with the Premier hospital membership.
“This Agreement provides the member hospitals with environmentally preferable purchasing (EPP) options that speak directly to one of Premier’s EPP program values of purchasing products that can be recycled, reprocessed or reused,” Woodard said.
