PositiveID, a provider of technologies for diabetes management, is set to showcase its iglucose mobile health system.

The FDA-cleared, wireless iglucose system is designed to connect with existing glucometers to transmit blood glucose readings anytime, anywhere.

The iglucose system collects and transmits stored data from various blood glucose meters such as Johnson & Johnson LifeScan, Abbott FreeStyle, Bayer Contour and Nipro Diagnostic True monitoring systems.

By communicating glucose readings from a glucometer to the iglucose diabetes management portal, important data can be shared with family members, caregivers and healthcare professionals via text message, email or fax, or through the iglucose diabetes management portal itself.

PositiveID said it will showcase its iglucose system at the International CTIA Wireless 2012 show from 8-10 May 2012 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, US.
