Pioneer Surgical Technology (Pioneer Surgical) has reported its plan to open a new office facility in Austin, Texas, on April 1, 2010. The move is in line with the company's strategic expansion plans to enhance and expand its Spine business.

The new facility is expected to provide Pioneer Surgical greater recruiting access to industry professionals, who will help further the growth and development of its Spine division. In addition, the move provides greater strategic access to key Spine markets and enables the company to offer stronger logistic support to surgeons and its growing spine sales force.

The company’s global headquarters in Marquette, Michigan, currently coordinates activity at physical properties located in Raleigh and Greenville, North Carolina, Woburn, Massachusetts, and the Netherlands.

Jeff Millin, president and CEO of Pioneer, said: “Logistically, Sawyer International Airport sufficiently addresses our global shipping requirements but limited commercial flights make it difficult for us to engage with surgeons, customers, and sales reps on a timely basis.

“This strategic move allows us to overcome these barriers. Pioneer is committed to building a great company that lasts. This expansion is another exciting development in Pioneer’s growth-focused goals.”
