Pioneer Surgical said that the plate was designed for optimum synergy with the Pioneer Contact PEEK Anterior Interbody Spacer.
Thomas Highland, one of the plate developers, who responded after his first surgery with the product at Boone Hospital, said: “We knocked it out of the park with these changes, especially the Inserter and Push Pins.”
Pioneer Surgical had entered the orthobiologics market with two acquisitions in 2007.
