Perrigo and AgaMatrix have entered into an exclusive agreement to sell and distribute blood glucose monitors and test strips in the US store brand channel.

Under the agreement, Perrigo will sell and distribute certain products in the current AgaMatrix portfolio in addition to certain future new products.

Perrigo will use its existing store brand retail channels to expand distribution of the new blood glucose meters and testing strips to consumers in early 2011, and also explore a complete range of diabetes care products beyond blood glucose monitoring.

Perrigo chairman and CEO Joseph Papa said the strong demand for high quality and value in the growing diabetic community makes the deal with AgaMatrix, which has industry-leading quality and technology.
