Parkview Medical Center has entered into an agreement with MobileMD, Warminster, to provide health information exchange (HIE) services to its physician and medical community.

MobileMD’s technology is the 4D HIE focusing on four aspects of progressive healthcare delivery technology, service, economics and patient care. The company’s 4D HIE provides secure clinical and administrative data exchange between all providers caring for patients within a community, regardless of their location, EMR technology or vendor.

Paula Oreskovich, information technology director at Parkview Medical Center, said: “We were tasked with finding an HIE vendor who had the capability and experience to provide timely and meaningful clinical data exchange throughout our physician community. MobileMD’s 4D HIE offering will better connect and align Parkview with our physician community.

“Clinicians working with Parkview will now enjoy real-time access to patient information without the need for additional layers of technology. Instead of focusing on technology issues, our physicians can continue to focus on delivering quality care as they leverage their existing technologies.”

Todd Fisher, CEO of MobileMD, said: “Parkview Medical Center had many options for building their exchange between the hospital and their physicians and we are pleased they selected MobileMD based on our long-standing commitment to client service.

“MobileMD’s 4D HIE will enable Parkview’s physician community to better care for their patients through enhanced clinical information delivery and integration. Critical health information will now lead, rather than follow, patients as they experience the entire continuum of care from general practitioner to specialist to the hospital. The result is lower costs, improved physician-patient relationships, and improved care quality.”
