Panasonic Healthcare has introduced CardioHealth Station, a comprehensive risk assessment tool, which includes an ultrasound engine, offering real-time detection of the thickness of the C-IMT and detects plaque in the carotid artery.

Panasonic claims that CardioHealth Station is the first comprehensive solution for screening for early detection of high risk patients, cuts the time consuming steps, making a 5-minute exam and also gathers all the relevant data and produces a report to help the doctor explain the findings to the patient.

The device enables rapid detection of thickened carotid arteries and the automation technology in the CardioHealth Station enables testing that used to be difficult and impractical to do on a mass basis.

Panasonic said that the CardioHealth Station is beneficial to patients in improving the speed of screening, reducing interpretation time so that the report can be quickly made and less intrusive for patients.
