The provider of filtration, separation and purification solutions, Pall, has launched the first syringe filter certified for low extractables in high performance liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LCMS) applications.

The Acrodisc MS syringe filter provides chemical resistance, particulate retention, and protein adsorption, and can be used with both organic and aqueous solvents.

According to the company, the syringe filter, which is built with Pall’s new WWPTFE membrane, cuts costs and reduces downtime as a result of unexpected contamination.

Pall Global Lab Products senior vice president Larry O’Connell said Acrodisc MS syringe filter is the newest innovation in their complete line of syringe filters and the first LCMS-certified syringe filter that is low in extractables.

"It will improve the accuracy, cost, and reliability of high performance LCMS testing and the applications for this advancement are extensive," O’Connell added.
