Oxford Diagnostic Laboratories has opened its new, 35,000sq ft laboratory located in Memphis, Tennessee, US.
The company is planning to invest $3m and create 65 new lab processing, medical technologist and management positions at the Memphis facility.
The new facility will provide the capacity to service the laboratory’s rapid growth in customers and test volumes, said the company.
Oxford Immunotec CEO Peter Wrighton-Smith said today is a very exciting day for the company with the opening of its new lab in Memphis.
"Locating our new lab near our strategic partner, FedEx, gives us a competitive advantage in processing immunology samples and allows us to give our customers unparalleled test turnaround time," Wrighton-Smith said.
Oxford Diagnostic Laboratories is the service laboratory division of Oxford Immunotec, an immunology-focused diagnostics company.
