OrthoSynetics, a provider of orthodontic and dental practice management services, has reported that David Marks has been promoted to president and chief executive officer. He has been chief operating officer with the company since September 2009.

According to OrthoSynetics, the positions of president, chief executive and chairman were held by Chris Roussos, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests.

Mr Roussos said: “David and Dan have worked closely with me, and I am confident that I am leaving OrthoSynetics in very capable hands.”

Mr Marks has been a CEO, president or senior executive in the practice management industry for the past 29 years and has been in health care management positions for 33 years.

Mr Marks, said: “Our success comes from helping our clients’ practices grow and prosper, and that will continue to be our focus.”

Daniel Crowley has been appointed executive chairman of the firm’s board of directors. He has been a member of the board since 2007.

Mr Crowley, a former Fortune 500 chairman and CEO, has more than 30 years of executive management and board experience in health care services businesses ranging from health insurance to physician and dental practice management.

Mr Crowley said: “Chris was instrumental in successfully leading OrthoSynetics through a critical period of transition and in putting the firm on its current positive course. We are grateful for his efforts and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
