Orthocon, a manufacturer of products that stop bone bleeding, has entered into a worldwide license agreement to develop Bezwada Biomedical's technology for bone applications.

Bezwada’s proprietary technology platforms are comprised of bioabsorbable and biocompatible polyurethanes and polyamides derived from hydrolyzable isocyanates.

The technologies can be used to create absorbable surgical devices for a variety of applications including structural support, fixation, and drug delivery.

Orthocon president and CEO John Pacifico said they are pleased working with Bezwada and his team to develop and commercialize additional devices that address the needs of their surgeon customers.

Orthocon founder, CSO and principal technology inventor Richard Kronenthal said he is enthusiastic about the new roads they are taking together to overcome important problems in orthopedic and other surgical specialties.
