Omron Healthcare has unveiled a new OTC electrotherapy solution, Omron electrotherapy pain relief device (PM3030), in the US, designed for treating muscle and joint pains.
Omron electrotherapy device, which uses the company’s transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) technolgy, features pads which are placed nearer to the pain site to deliver gentle, massage-like pulses.
The device also comprises three preset programs having intensity of five levels of control, allowing personalized usage according to the pain type.
Pain Control managing member and anesthesia and pain management board certified physician Rajive Adlaka said, "As a pain management physician for 15 years, I’ve found electrotherapy to be a valuable pain management option."
Omron senior product manager Maureen Perou said Omron electroTHERAPY alleviates pain in less than 15 minutes.
"What’s different about this product is that it demystifies and simplifies a time-tested therapy,” Perou added.
