Omron Healthcare has introduced a new over-the-counter medical device for pain management at home.
The Omron HEAT Pain Pro device aggregates soothing heat and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) technology to alleviate acute muscle and joint pain.
TENS will send stimulating pulses across the surface of the skin and along the nerve strands. The pulses will help in avoiding pain signals to reach the brain.
Omron Heat Pain Pro provides 27 different combinations of heat and TENS modes, and 20 different levels of intensity.
It includes pre-set therapy options for different conditions and locations, comprising of lower back, arm, leg, foot, shoulders and joints.
According to the company, the device fits in the palm of the hand and includes clear instructions and an easy-to-use large button interface.
