Based in Katlenburg-Lindau, Lisa Laser Products is specialized in the development of advanced laser solutions for urological applications.

Established in 1989, the company has developed major surgical laser technologies, including both Thulium and Holmium lasers, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), other urological and soft-tissue related conditions that need minimally invasive surgery.

OmniGuide CEO John Buhler said: “Patient safety and positive surgical outcomes remain our top priority. Lisa Laser’s portfolio of electrically-silent, precision based surgical therapies directly aligns with OmniGuide’s goal of benefiting patients through the preservation of healthy tissue during surgery.”

Lisa Laser produces products such as laser hardware units, laser fibers, endoscopes and other accessories for laser assisted surgery.

Sphinx jr. Holmium laser has been developed for laser fragmentation and laser dusting of urinary stones, while RevoLix Duo is the first universal laser in urology for lithotripsy, BPH, endoscopic, laparoscopic and open surgery.

RevoLix jr. is said to be the only table top laser specifically developed for soft tissue surgery, and its wavelength is similar to Holmium but the emission is continuous instead of pulsed.

Lisa Laser also produces disposable and reusable surgical laser fiber to improve patient safety and endoscope integrity.

The firm’s technologies will help surgeons to improve surgical outcomes such as reduction of bleeding and preservation of healthy tissue.

The deal is expected to complete in the third quarter of this year.

Lisa Laser managing partner Heinrich-Otto Teichmann said: “We are pleased to be joining the OmniGuide team as we combine both our Thulium and Holmium laser technologies with OmniGuide’s market leading CO2 lasers and enhanced-safety flexible fibers.”

OmniGuide is a patient safety-focused medical technology firm, which supplies a range of advanced energy surgical tools for clinicians.

The firm’s tools will help to access and control minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopy and robotic-assisted surgery.

Domain Surgical, a business unit of OmniGuide, offers  patented ferromagnetic technology for selected surgical procedures that need cutting, coagulating and sealing of tissue.
