QuickClip Pro has been designed to use with Olympus endoscopes to address the clipping needs for both upper and lower GI endoscopy.

According to the company, the proprietary sheath and clip design of the device reduces the risk for channel damage and minimizes repair-related expenditures.

Olympus America endoscopy division group vice-president Rick Harbuck said the company is committed to maximize the efficacy of mechanical hemostasis in GI endoscopy.

"By effectively delivering more precise control and placement, QuickClip Pro clips can help facilities meet the requirements of healthcare reform aimed at improving quality of care, decreasing costs and enhancing patient satisfaction," Harbuck added.

Olympus said that the specific advantages provided by the QuickClip Pro include quality of care, decrease costs and enhanced patient satisfaction.

The company will showcase the QuickClip Pro at ASGE’s EndoFest 2014, which will be held between 19-21 September in Las Vegas and at the ACG 2014 Annual Meeting, which will take place between 17-22 October in Philadelphia, US.
