NYeC is a federally designated Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center (HITREC) which is established to promote and assist with the adoption of health IT technologies (HIT) across the state as well as develop HIT policies and standards.
Under the collaboration e-MDs will help members of NYeC to manage and implement EHRs and achievement of Meaningful Use in a cost effective manner.
New York eHealth Collaborative (NyeC) executive director Dave Whitlinger said establishing a group of Meaningful Use partners will increase the number of providers who can receive services from NYeC and will help physicians, who have become EHR users, learn how to qualify for federal reimbursements.
