The partnership will enhance analytics tools, which will offer better brain mapping detail and proficiency through leveraging technology from Johns Hopkins University.

NTT DATA’s Unified Clinical Archive (UCA) services will offer imaging analytics through machine vision to enable radiologists to quantitatively assess brain anatomy and compare the results with normal population using the data collected

The UCA platform for imaging analytics is developing a range of machine vision and artificial intelligence tools to provide physicians and clinicians with radiology imaging tools that will proactively diagnose and treat patients.

The platform will provide detailed analysis, which can be quantitatively used to understand the anatomical imaging.

Results will help in patient segmentation for risk and evaluating the impact of care pathways to drive radiology’s participation in population health.

AnatomyWorks chief strategic officer Dr Nayoung Louie said: “This partnership with NTT DATA Services will help accelerate the availability and scalability in the cloud for fully automated magnetic resonance image segmentation and anatomical interpretation tools.

“The goal of the collaboration is to develop new data-driven tools to assist routine brain image reading through the integration of the large database from NTT DATA Services and our image structuration technologies.”

Johns Hopkins Biomedical Engineering’s Center for Imaging Science director Dr Michael Miller said: “Automated tools that radiologists can use to structure, search and retrieve population data should also provide better value from the imaging utilization because of the additional health insights that anatomical analytics can provide.”
