Under the agreement, Sectra will deliver its comprehensive solution for the management of patient information and digital radiology images (RIS/PACS) and the planning of orthopaedic procedures.
The solution will be integrated with other IT systems at 11 hospitals that are included in the region, including the journal systems.
Using Sectra’s system, the hospitals in Helse Nord will consolidate the radiology operations at the eleven hospitals into one operation.
The installation of Sectra’s solution is expected to enhance the efficiency of the operational processes that are related to the radiology departments and increase access to radiology images and patient information throughout the region.
Sectra Medical Operations president Torbjörn Kronander said the agreement with Helse Nord confirms their ability to serve as a supplier with overall responsibility for the installation and maintenance of large and complex IT solutions for the healthcare sector, which are increasingly demanded by their customers.
