North Shore-LIJ chooses SIS anesthesia documentation solution

North Shore-LIJ Health System has selected Surgical Information Systems’ (SIS) information management system (AIMS) - SIS Anesthesia - as its anesthesia documentation solution.

SIS Anesthesia delivers anesthesia documentation as well as anesthesia business intelligence, enabling hospital surgery and anesthesia documentation to exist in on a single database and streamlining and simplifying documentation.

North Shore will also use SIS Perfusion, an application for the documentation of the cardiac bypass procedure.

The deployment will begin at North Shore University Hospital and will continue at the other North Shore-LIJ Health Systems hospitals.

North Shore-LIJ Anesthesiology chairman and North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) member of the Board of Directors John Di Capua said as the only specialty anesthesia system featuring a shared database with a perioperative system, SIS Anesthesia supports continuity of care with changes in the perioperative record being reflected in the anesthesia record as well.
