Minnesota-based North Clinic has selected eClinicalWorks' electronic health records (EHR) for its 84 employed providers.

eClinicalWorks includes features and templates customized for more than 50 specialties and sub-specialties to aid multi-specialty groups, including North Clinic, in standardizing on an EHR that is beneficial to all specialties represented.

The system also facilitates providers to take advantage of provisions in the HITECH Act, which authorizes the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to impart a reimbursement incentive for physician and hospital providers who demonstrate the meaningful use of an EHR.

North Clinic will integrate eClinicalWorks with a neighboring Hospital System’s Epic in-patient system for labs, radiology and Continuity of Care Document (CCD) to increase care coordination.

North Clinic executive director Joanne Stadnik said electronic health records will help them enhance care and better position them to take advantage of pay-for-performance and meaningful use initiatives.

eClinicalWorks CEO and co-founder Girish Kumar Navani said they look forward to work with North Clinic to outfit its providers with a system that will help improve the quality of care.

As part of the comprehensive EHR solution, North Clinic also will implement eClinicalWorks’ EMR/PM, Patient Portal, eBO, eClinicalMobile, eClinicalMessenger and P2P.
