North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) has joined forces with Surgical Information Systems (SIS), a provider of anesthesia information management system (AIMS)

The alliance offers SIS’ Anesthesia, combined with NAPA’s managed anesthesia services, to hospitals, health systems and other healthcare facilities to support improved patient safety, care quality and perioperative efficiency.

SIS Anesthesia creates complete and legible anesthesia records, which enable NAPA and its client hospitals to analyze, measure and track anesthesia and OR performance for quality, efficiency and compliance.

SIS chief executive officer Ed Daihl said the company is committed to deliver the tools anesthesia providers and hospitals need to support their goals of simplifying clinical documentation, improving care quality, and boosting financial performance.

"We are proud to partner with a preeminent anesthesia provider and look forward to working together to help NAPA hospital clients achieve peak performance in their ORs," Daihl added.

In addition, NAPA and SIS will work together as development partners to create specialized anesthesia quality management tools.
