Nexxspan Healthcare announces installation of the Matrixx vertical headwall in the newly opened Parkland Hospital. The specially designed systems have been installed in the facility's new neonatal ICU (NICU).

The evidence-based design of the Matrixx vertical headwall meets the environmental recommendations of the NICU as published in the Journal of Perinatology for improved neonatal development.

This system features dimmable ambient lighting as well as sound deflecting and sound absorbing properties.

There is a family side and clinical side which allows for a separation of functions. The Matrixx also enables the staff to create a unique clinical environment for each patient through the use of integrated equipment rails and poles with multiple gas and electrical outlets throughout the system. Equipment can be placed and relocated to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Chad Langville, Vice President of Sales and Marketing commented, "We congratulate Parkland Hospital on the successful opening of the new facility. We were happy to be a partner in creating their new NICU space. We believe the use of the Matrixx headwalls will help create the optimal ergonomic environment for neonate development."
