The Medical Gas Solutions Division, along with the BeaconMedaes U.S. Customer Center, will move into a new 180,000 square-foot, $20 million facility in Rock Hill, South Carolina expected to open in April 2017.

The Medical Gas Solutions Division, part of Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique Business Area, will continue its production and manufacture of medical gas equipment, including medical air vacuum plants, manifolds and pipeline components, in a new facility located just minutes from its current home in Rock Hill.

The new facility will also house the BeaconMedaes U.S. Customer Center, making it the centralized location for medical solutions within the medical gas solutions division.

"The Medical Gas Solutions Division is excited for the opportunity to continue striving for innovation and growth in our new Rock Hill facility," said Horst Wasel, President Medical Gas Solutions Division. "The new facility will help us continue to support our customers in an environment better suited to both their needs and ours."

BeaconMedaes U.S. will be able to bring in customers for important events and showcase our talents with a new product showroom.

Atlas Copco’s U.S. Construction Technique division and North American Portable Energy will also make the move.

Atlas Copco chose Rock Hill as its new headquarters because of the city’s resources for economic development of commercial and industrial businesses as well as its proximity to the large metropolitan area of Charlotte and the East Coast.

The new building will be located in one of Rock Hill’s latest mixed-use developments, Riverwalk Business Park, and will replace the company’s original facility in Rock Hill, which has for the past 20 years housed its North American Portable Energy and Medical Gas Solutions divisions and the BeaconMedaes U.S. Customer Center.
