NEC Display Solutions of America has introduced new MultiSync MD212G3 LCD, a widescreen display for diagnostic review applications in healthcare organisations.

The 21.3in and 3-megapixel display with an IPS panel is said to offer precise grayscale reproduction and wide viewing angles. It is also available with 1,400:1 contrast ratio and a 1,700cd/m² calibrated brightness.

NEC Display Solutions of America professional and medical displays product manager Art Marshall said: "The emergence of the MD212G3 display means that the entire NEC MultiSync Medical Series portfolio is now LED backlit, significant for reducing hazardous materials.

"The display also features an anti-reflective coding to improve working conditions for the professionals using the display."

The MD212G3 monitor features GammaCompMD QA software, as well as includes out-of-the-box calibration to the DICOM grayscale display function for luminance.

It also includes a 16-bit lookup table, integrated two port USB 2.0 hub, as well as DisplayPort and DVI-D inputs.
