NDS Surgical Imaging (NDSsi), a designer and manufacturer of medical imaging and informatics systems, has appointed Daniel Berry as chief executive officer (CEO).

Berry has been on the Board of Directors of NDSsi since 2007, and brings over 30 years of executive management and engineering experience to the company.

Berry has been an operating partner at Riverside Partners, a Private Equity firm specialising in Healthcare and Technology investments, for the past 9 years.

Prior to joining Riverside, Berry held various positions including president and chief operating officer at Ultratech Stepper, a semiconductor equipment company, executive vice president of International Operations at General Signal Corp and various technical and management positions at Perkin Elmer.

Berry began his career at Bell Laboratories and at Ultratech, where he was part of the team that accomplished a management buyout in March of 1993, and an IPO 6 months later.

NDSsi chairman David Belluck said that Dan has a record in growing technology businesses, displaying strong execution, and applying the right mix of strategic, analytic, and leadership skills.

“Dan’s appointment was approved by the Board of Directors, and we are fully confident he is the right choice to lead NDS Surgical Imaging through its next phase of growth,” Belluck said.
