US-based medical imaging and informatics systems manufacturer NDS Surgical Imaging (NDSsi) has introduced new surgical visualization platform, 27” Radiance Ultra.

The new platform features Medi-Match color calibration technology, which will provide the color of tissue and other anatomy accurately and consistently over time from display to display.

NDSsi president and general manager Karim Khadr said: "The launch of the 27” Radiance Ultra signals a new era in surgical visualization.

Designed for operating rooms and minimally invasive suites, the surgical visualization system also features a sealed edge-to-edge front panel integrating Corning Gorilla Glass and a front liquid Ingress Protection rating of IPX6.

According to NDSsi, the DICOM gamma setting and Intelli-guard backlight stabilization system provide DICOM 3.14 compliance equivalent to that of a diagnostic radiology display, for reference purposes only, to further enhance clinical confidence.

The system, which includes proximity-sensitive menu buttons, can be installed in place of existing 26" models on boom arms or surgical carts.
